Preparing your request

What to send for an accurate estimating quote

You can request a fee from a complete bid set, an early design package or a partial set. The most useful starting information is the project location, current drawing issue, specifications, requested divisions and the date your team needs the deliverable.

Documents and details that reduce assumptions

Include addenda, bid forms, geotechnical reports, alternates and owner-furnished equipment information when they apply. For trade takeoffs, note the exact scope boundary. For conceptual budgets, include the program, area, quality level, site plan and target construction schedule.

If files are too large to attach, send a secure cloud link. An NDA can be reviewed before project documents are shared. Competitive bid information and client markups are kept separate from other assignments.

What happens after the request arrives

An estimator reviews the documents, identifies scope questions and returns a written fixed fee with the planned delivery date. Work starts only after approval. At delivery, you receive the agreed workbook, marked drawings and basis of estimate, plus a direct contact for clarifications and included revisions.

Request a Texas Construction Estimate FAQs

What do I need to send for a construction estimating quote?
Send the current drawings, specifications, addenda, Texas project location, requested divisions and required delivery date. Include the bid form, geotechnical report, model, alternates or existing quotes when they affect the assignment. A partial design can be reviewed if you identify the decision the estimate must support.
How quickly will I receive an estimating proposal?
During Monday–Friday business hours, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Central Time, the estimating desk typically responds to a new request within 10–15 minutes. The team first checks document volume, scope and timing; the written proposal then confirms the fixed fee and delivery date before work begins.
Can I send a Google Drive, Dropbox or Procore plan link?
Yes. Provide a secure link with access enabled for the estimating contact and include the drawing issue date. The website form sends the link as part of your request but does not upload the linked files. Do not place passwords in the message; share access through the platform or an agreed secure method.
Can an NDA be signed before I send plans?
You can request NDA review before sharing confidential drawings, rates or client information. The parties must agree the terms and authorized signatories. Mention the NDA requirement in the initial email so document access and proposal timing can be coordinated before the full set is released.
What should I include when the bid date is urgent?
State the exact deadline and time zone, priority divisions, current addenda and required submission format. Identify any quantities or quotes already completed so effort is not duplicated. The estimator will confirm whether the remaining scope can be measured, reviewed and delivered responsibly within the available window.
